    SOLD: Avin Avant 4

I (sold) my Avant 4 system I bought in Feb 2022. I’ve been bit by the bug and making a track car. It has the Qualcomm 6+128 version. There is a minor scratch on the screen. Would be $689 new from Avin.

Asking $400 delivered within CONUS. I’ll get some pictures of it removed and all accessories online soon.

I had some PMs asking me about weight. I'll share my response:

The Avin head unit I have weighs 2lbs 14ozs (using a Park Tools digital scale intended for bicycle weights). I've read what others on the forum are doing to lose weight and keep a sound system. They are ripping out the OEM stuff regardless - it's heavy and probably doesn't work well (or at all) anymore, and I don't have anything else to add beyond previous contributions on that topic. Personally - I think real weight savings measures cannot be undertaken simultaneously with preserving an interior environment that favors listening to music from speakers mounted in the car body and doors.

I bought the Avin for Carplay before I decided this car was destined for the track. It worked as expected to allow me to take calls, use Waze, dictate text messages, etc. But I've never really wanted it for a sound system, the S54 with Eventuri, Eisenmann, and the rear interior removed provides all the glorious sound I need to occupy my mind.
