    WTB or Trade KM/H Cluster

    Hey,

I live in Canada but have a US car. I'd like to have gauges with the large numbers in KM/H. I can trade for a US cluster or buy it. The instrument cluster must be in good condition.

I have a US address to avoid international shipping.

    Thanks!

Euro clusters are pretty expensive and rare to come by, they aren't sold very often.

What is common for imported cars is to convert the clusters, I have done this myself personally.

You can buy the dials on this website, https://xtuners.com/E46-M3
They are an exact replica and I do not notice anything that is wrong about it, and I am pretty OCD about this stuff.

The procedure is simple, take the screws out in order to remove the plastic covers from the cluster.
Use a trim tool to pry the needles off, you can use some masking tape on the dial surface if you don't want to scratch the US dial.
Take off the dial, and put the Euro one on, place the needles back where they were supposed to go, getting them right is quite tricky, since you can easily end up with 100 km/h being 110 km/h if the needle position is off.
To get the needle calibration absolutely right, use INPA to command a static value to the cluster, say 80 km/h, and then place the needle exactly on 80 km/h and lightly press down to lock it in.

    Hope this helps.

I got mine from here and they seem like OE quality, I'm pretty sure they come from the same place as Xtuners linked above.
