Sadly wrong on the wrong side of the planet for me, but this box is new NLA and they make now only the version with CF trumpets which sound not as good as the original csl version or like this version from Karbonius. Searching since a while for one of these boxes

Is the difference in sound that noticeable? I have the full CF version on my car and think it sounds amazing but I’ve never heard a version with the plastic trumpets in person.

Don't want to be spam this thread to much, but I had on my first s54, the karbonius with plastic trumpets (wanted to safe some bucks compared to full CF back in the days), sold this s54 and bought another. This time with full CF version (plastic was NLA). All the pulsating and deep tones from 2-4K rpm where gone and this is what I love the most on the csl sound.. full CF is just loud, without the soul compared to full CF box imo.

I didn't realize there was a noticeable difference in sound. You might make me want to keep it 😄. I also have a full carbon race airbox so I may test them back to back. This one is still installed on the car.

Holiday bump. Added a IAT and MAP conversion kit from COVID-19.

The air box is sold but just to follow up, I didn't get to test them back to back but I'll have the race box installed this weekend and I'll see if there is a noticeable difference. Physically on the full carbon air box, the bell mouths on the runners are slightly bigger and I didn't measure but the runners seem slightly longer. The filtered section is about 12oz. lighter .
