    For Sale: 280/272 Cat Cams

    *SOLD*

I have for sale 280/272 standard lift Cat Cams that I bought new from Lang Racing and ran for about 200 miles before removing and replacing with Schrick 288/280. Asking $900 shipped.

Quick backstory: the reason I removed is I couldn't get a pass on the DME VANOS test. I had a thread about on old M3F. I later learned that I had 4-5 degree offset software difference and I further suspected that the cams were machined wrong. However, they've been sent back to Cat Cams for inspection/check-out and were determined to be machined to spec. I've since corrected the offset error but by that time I wanted to run 288/280 anyway for future plans with the motor.

I won't be able to upload pictures until Tuesday the 26th but the cams have been stored in their original packaging inside my home. As with all Cat Cams, the pressure relief valves will need to be transferred over.

    *SOLD*

Did you replace your rocker arms when installing?

Negative. I did put in DLC rockers with the 288/280 I run now which become a "required" component, versus "recommended" with the 280/272.
