    For Sale: 3.85 Differential (210mm) from E9x M3

    Will it fit my car?
For those less familiar, though the 3.85 large case differential from the E9x M3 does not fit the E46, the ring & pinion gear set does fit the E46 M3 and Z4 M. So you're basically spending an extra hour to pull these out of the carrier as opposed to buying them separately. The gears by themselves, new, will run for $1400 after-tax from Turner. Carrier is yours to keep/sell.

    Why 3.85 vs 4.10?
If you want to go hooning, go with 4.10s. I personally found it too 'jekyll and hyde' for my driving style. So if you’re like me and appreciate 6th (overdrive) but just wished for extra bump in torque, 3.85s might be the right call.

    So why am I selling?
I picked these up not too long ago but other priorities have come up that I need to tend to first. And experience has taught me, best not to tinker with too many things right before season starts. Last time I did that, I missed half the season lol. So I figured if there's any interest before they sit on the shelf for a year.

    Price & Location
Asking $1000 picked up in CT or $1100 shipped to 48 states (PayPal as 'gift', else add 3%). For reference, I've done over 100 transactions on Bimmerpost. These came off a non-tracked M3 with roughly 70,000 miles.
