Got these cams new last year. Ended up going turbo so I am just going back to stock cams since these have no benefit for me. Only had them in for about 2k miles. They're in good condition no scoring on the lobes or warping.

Would the car need a tune afterword?

You would definitely want a tune. Can the car run on the stock map, yes, but horribly, especially at idle and down low.

The car will run fine on a stock tune and should idle normally after the cold start cat heating, however you will probably not see any power benefits without a tune. Yes the followers do not need to be changed if they are in good condition.

One cant just eye ball their followers as and tell if they are good enough to withhold 288/280 cams for a good length of time. Ppl should really change their followers too.

This is what I was told when they put them in at MaximumPSI. They said they rarely need to be changed, which was good with me since they aren't cheap.
