WTB: M Texture door cards

Ok this one is a long shot, but you never know. I've gotten very into the idea of putting together an M Texture interior. I would love to snag some OEM door cards. Like I said, a long shot.

So you're saying there's a chance! Well then, let the price discovery process begin. In an ideal world I'd find OEM door cards plus rears, and then pair that with a fixed back seat with reproduction M Texture on the inserts. One challenge is the fact that I have a grey interior, so done right this would end up being a major project.

OK, so you need a black interior donor car. Cause you need the dash, center console, carpet, all of that. This is indeed, a major project. That being said, you wouldn't be the first to attempt it. It can be done, and the best way to do it is to just rewrap black panels.

Occasionally, like maybe once a year, a full set of M-Texture pops up on this marketplace, but it's like 5 grand +, and usually not in the best shape.

ASC makes near identical fabric, you wouldn't notice it's not authentic. Just buy enough of this to do the front and rear seats, plus door cards.

Fabric + full black interior may end up running you like 5 grand, but it'll be essentially brand new.

Thanks, yup that is indeed what I would be looking at. I'm aware of the ACS material option. Figured I'd check to see if I can shake out some OEM door cards at least. The whole thing is a bit daunting, but it's in my multi-year project category. Is that ACS fabric in your interior build? And yeah, figured I could snag a full black interior and then maybe get some of the other interior parts from a donor car. Are all the various pieces of trim exclusive to the M3, or are some common across other E46s?

Also, I had actually seen a lot of people recommend BMWRestoredseats/Prestige on these boards, with a number of good reviews? Is the workmanship bad in your view? Or just overpriced?

Joni is just a piece of shit. His work is fine, it's on par with any other competent interior guy. The problem is he's a liar, and just an overall scummy dude.

My interior came from him. It's a grey interior he dyed black, after lying and telling me he sourced a clean black interior. So, I've had nothing but issues with the dye coming off, and when I tried to contact him he wanted me to ship him back the door panels so he could "look at them". When I told him to pay for it, he ghosted me.

Not to mention, he pulled the bait and switch, and told me one price, and then when it came time to actually pay, all of a sudden there was astronomical shipping and handling fees tacked on. So in the end he didn't even provide front seats, he just gave me the rears and door panels for the price of a full interior.

I hope I run into that dude someday.





I actually have a roll of original M-Fabric i sourced from ebay Germany years ago before it went NLA. I might consider selling it if the price was right.
