For Sale: E46 M3 Slotted Engine Cover

The slots were hand-cut so certainly not perfect but it looks good in the engine bay and helps with cooling.

Me likey, did you use just a dremel w/ plastic cutting disc and free hand?

Drill to make pilot holes of the required diameter and then Dremel to cut the slots.
