I personally believe that the m3 should had come with 3.91 or 4.10 gears from the factory. 3.91/4.10 transforms the car. The always feels like it has power in every gear, pulls harder, and is great for the type of driving you do in this country. Yes, your top speed is reduced and you shifting sooner but harder pulls and the feeling of power in all gears is well worth it.

Whine will be inevitable with this diff. I have a 3.91 Dinan diff and it whines. Make sure you are okay with this before you commit.

4.10 DIFF for e46 M3
Hey guys,
Wanted to see if anyone had a 4.10 Diff with LSD for the e46 m3 that they wanted to sell. Maybe someone here is thinking of returning back to stock gearing. I have a stock diff if you need it that can be used as a trade with some cash on my end. Please be sure that the Diff in good condition without any issues or whine. If your interested please email me at bmwm3s50@aol.com and let me know. Thanks for your time.Tags: None
