You can get the ECS cheaper from ECS. Silicone boots can also be trimmed if needed.
Don't buy that crap. Get the original Macht Schnell elbow. There is a forum thread somewhere on google comparing the silicone boots. I believe it was bimmer world, which basically the same as ECS, and can see a big difference. If you want that lil HP bump claim from the silicone boot it's actually from Macht Schnell, all others are kinda snake oil (boot)

Thank you. This is why I was specifically looking for the Macht Schnell elbow. Some say it does improve flow, other say different. Its worth a risk at such a low price point.

The boots are literally the same. If other boots are snake oil then Macht Shnell is snake oil according to your logic. This is false, however. The boots all work the same. It's just a game of who has the best deal. With that said, please don't go around claiming this nonsense. The only way someone can "prove" one is better than the other is by skewing results or not recognizing slight variance in results. Nearly impossible to prove 2 or 3 hp gain on a dyno. Runs with no changes, back to back, vary more than that in either direction. The idea is based in aerodynamics. Turbulence is to be avoided until the combustion chamber. Silicone boots help with that. I have an extra plenum if you want to drill holes and do pressure testing to see the gains in inches of water.
The goal of this forum is to be properly informed, not biased because of a brand name.
If you want that Macht Schell popping out in your engine bay, by all means buy it. If you don't care about names, buy the one from Bimmerworld. It's $60.
Not really here to argue but there's the link if you want to see it. Only thing I do agree with you is avoiding turbulence. I do notice the boots from ECS and Bimmerworld has changed to make it look like the Schnell elbow, either the design right has expire and they copy it, but there's plenty of real world results that can back up Schnell. If you can prove me wrong I'm more than happy to learn in my DM but if all you got is Theoretical stuff without actual any results to back it up then I stand by what I say.
Anyways! I do hope you find one and make sure to get a drop-in filter. Make sure to keep an eye on facebook as that's where I got mine.

ECS and Bimmerworld are that design. My ECS boot is literally that Macht Shnell with ECS Tuning on it. They are all the same now.
