Do these pulleys overdrive any components (e.g., alternator)? Is there any adverse consequence?

        Tbonem3 Thanks I think.

        Any adverse consequences?

Maybe this should be in the dumb questions sticky…. but does anyone want to walk through the +/- of these?

I agree with maw. Would enjoy hearing the general consensus on these...

After decades of this mod on e36 and e46s, it doesn't seem to have any ill effects on coolant flow or powersteering boost. I'd just stay away from the alternator pulley on a street car lest it doesn't charge the battery enough.

So for street cars the "Power Pulley Kit" (not race) is fine, even recommended when it's time to do belts anyway? My car has stereo upgrades, so alternator and charging issues are what I'd like to stay away from. Car is also tuned so I'll take the incremental power if there's any to be had without going down any rabbit holes.

Sorry for the horrific thread jack... wasn't my intent. If there are any moderators here, please move this to where it should be.

              Cheers,

To be honest, ive done this upgrade on every S54 ive own and they all felt so much more responsive. You get a +10-12hp at cheap cost. You wont get this on a S54 at cheap cost with any other parts, maybe just basic aftermarket intakes.
