Some of you may know or have heard of the earlier models of this muffler having a rare defect that causes it to make a whistle sound at WOT pulls above 4.5k rpms, this one is unfortunately part of that rare batch. Someone sold me this a few years back without disclosing that which sucks and I recently learned it was the culprit. Oddly, the sound goes away when it gets really hot such as in the middle of a canyon run. It is still a completely functioning muffler and sounds great when it isn’t making the whistle sound lol, it doesn’t make the sound during normal driving or even when accelerating quickly, only at wot pulls above 4.5k rpms. With that being said, I’m selling it as a “project” piece. I’m also contemplating of asking a friend to cut it open and possibly locate/fix a weld or crack that can’t be seen externally as there are no cracks etc on the muffler.
