425bhp , £29k euros and it comes with an ECU (and a running time measured in hours).Originally posted by pinkpanther008 View PostNZ_M3
'BMW Motorport s54 (yes they sell them, I think it's called a P54B32'
How much do the above mentioned crate engines retail for? About time BMW started taking advantage of thier motorsoport heritage and selling the 'trick bits' as PORSCHE and FORD MS do so well.

I would agree with what people are saying, getting power out of the car will be expensive and disappointing IMO. If you want to get a genuine gain, i would get it supercharged...
Depends what you want the car to be honest, but it was certainly never attended to be the fastest car in a straightline.
The biggest problem with the CSL is that it has the same bodyshell as a 316. The torsional stiffness is not particularly good, which is why it has stiffer suspension. A GT3 on the other hand (or say, the new Lexus IS) has a unique shell that allows softer damping. If you just want a car for performance i would put a cage in it and put some KWs/Intrax/Motons on.
The APs are good, but the Alcons look good to me too. If you go for APs, don't get the Ferodos that come with the kit.
