Maybe Mark can block the ip address of the numpties once banned so they can not just log on in disguise .. or wire them up to the national grid so when they next log on from that ip address they end up looking like this ..

I think the main thing is our replies. We just have to be careful we don't turn a thread into a battle as once that's happened the trolls have won.

Take a look at M3Cutters site over the last few days. Huge following but a few dodgy posts and a few more dodgy replies and the place implodes. Takes alot of work to get it back how it was tbh.

Moral of the story is that if this site is to thrive and be a pleasant place we all need to just control ourselves when a weirdo arrives (present company excepted)

Let's not forget if a thread gets heated and nobody replies it disappears off the New Posts straight away and problem solved!

At the end of the day this is the internet, you're going to get idiot's wherever I'm afraid, I think nearly all of us genuine CSL owners are just that, genuine and obviously everyone gets on fine, my opinion is you can one of two ways:

1. Have a seperate members only area (which in turn may deter genuine wannabe CSL owners away from the site?

OR

2. Limit new members to 5 posts a day until they either join and/or are vouched for by an existing member, this was the route another website I was on took and it worked extremely well, the little twat trolls couldn't spread too much bullshit as their post count was limited to just 5 every 24 hours so they couldn't get the reaction they crave! :banghead: :whistle:

Im a moderator on 2 other forums, I have found in the past any new members not towing the line show up very quickly, these can be dealt with easily by PM warning or just ban them.
