I know someone told me that they did a whole season (8 trackdays) on one set of cup's last year so I know they can last long.... whether I can get them to or not is another matter!
    No, 3ish trackdays per set.:clown:

Some years I've put many more than 3 sets on.

Out of interest, I know you do a fair few track days - how many sets of Cup's a year do you go through? (assuming you do a fair few road miles 5000 or so?)

I've done several Ring trips with 2.5-3mm. Depending on weather on some trips I've had to get new out there. Others I've made it home on. They may not be strictly legal but safe ie. not Dunc style canvas and wire poking through.:hahaha: If wet then engage brain and drive accordingly. Simple.

However, mainly I would say man up and fit the Cups you ponce. Get out there on them and if they need changing they need changing.

Tbh new car, inexperience, cups might be wasted, new or old
Thanks Lawsy, i'll invest in some new Super Sports all round

To be honest like you say, I'm not at the level yet where it's the tyres that are holding me back - more tuition and trackdays needed

    So

    1. Far more grip in better temps / conditions
    2. Yes
    3. Yes (Laps in the rain)

Heads off for bird pics !
    Daz you beast, thankyooooo

A few more of those and I can make an informed decision! :smokin:

Just one thing though - driving normally how long roughly does it take to get heat in them? I know it's a how long's a piece of string question, but would the average 10 mins fairly quick driving whilst the engine warms up do it or are we talking driving like a hooligan for 5 mins before they grip to anything?

That's right - you other fookers can pass the popcorn around the back row inbetween playing with each other :gayfight::hahaha:
