Resurrecting this thread now that I have got myself a shiny new GoPro Hero3 silver.

Was there a preferred answer to this for in-car mounting?

    Options I see are:
    - Rear view mirror (with a sticky pad?)
    - Passenger sun visor
    - Suction mount, which may or may not be acceptable on TDs.

    Hmm...

I used the sticky 3m pad flat mount and stuck it behind the mirror on passenger side so its out the way.most tracks don't allow suction cup mounts and i saw one person get his converscates cos he kept trying to use it on track you can see in this pic where mine is

Pix to help illustrate Dunc's possible mount point. I tried 4-5years ago and worked great.

That was the route I went in the end - perfect mounting, stable and not visible when in the car.

I do quite fancy an external suction mount at some point (doors, roof) but I am aware that they can be difficult with some TD organizers.

            Thanks all.

Eh that is cool Graham. If I may also add a good point well made for advantages of helmet cams!

That's why I like it as you get a better view for certain things rather than just what's ahead of you...
