There is one on eBay now at £30k so they are available but yes, I fully agree they are desirable cars.Originally posted by cslsuperfan View PostAgreed Mike.
30K(£) csl's are no longer available.
At long last our loyalty to the CSL is now paying off.
10 years from now any CSL will not be exchanging hands for anything south of 60K(£).
They should only increase in value unless the economy takes a wobble.

Mr S sold the car with 63,500, it then moved from Merseyside to down South with GP Cars in Hertfordshire, who advertised the car reading 64,000, now advertised by the current owner in Somerset at 64,500.Originally posted by Matt21 View PostThe BP04 car has come up for sale three times in the last few months. Once at 63500, then 64000 now 64500. Not sure what is going on but I wouldn't buy it on this basis.
Each sale has increased not only the mileage but also the asking price, 5K in 6 months isn't to be sniffed at

Thanks guys I'm really looking forward to getting it looking its best again (andyk old car) so it's having the boot floor and a few other bits done at the moment
Can't say enough good things about Bartletts
From there initial inspection to taking on the work they've been a wealth of knowlage and help
then I'm sending it to the body shop for some work at the same time sending carbon splitters and rear diffuser to mark for a refurb
Rear view mirror and steering wheel also need sorting
Wheels are off to Lepsons and will be fitted with a new set of cups
Who knows I might even get a chance to drive it :-D

The CSL has it's niche.
Even if GT3 prices slump a little there will remain a band of buyers that can stretch to a £40K toy but not an £80K toy. It's these buyers who will push values up.
All of the above being said the CSL is an old car now and there are plenty of people who will be put off with this. Owning and running a 13 year old car comes with it's own set of challenges and plenty of people won't entertain doing any sort of DIY. This aspect will shrink the pool of potential buyers.
I'm starting to ramble now.
All I know is that the couple who were camping next to us at Le Mans remarked on how many people had doubled back to have a squint around the CSL over the weekend. 13 years on they obviously still draw attention.
Your last paragraph says it all. The E46 CSL is soon to join the top step with the E9 & E30. "Soon" being the next decade.
