NLA and low on Stock CSL Parts

    Hi gents and girls

Given the diversity of views on this subject matter I thought I would post up in here first to gain some views as to where you guys wants this information posted - if at all.

I've gotten a stock level count back from BMW AG's main system on some of the more common CSL only parts and the local manager has fired off a letter to BMW AG directly to find out more as to what is happening with the NLA parts and he's also put our concerns forward about this to BMW AG directly.

Now my question - do you guys want me to reveal what's left on the main forum or do you want me to just hold onto these information myself? Or do you want it posted in members only section?

I've also been promised that I will be forwarded any correspondences they get back from BMW AG directly about this.

    Now discuss.

Rather than posting actual numbers here (given that stock level changes on a daily basis) if there's anything in particular you guys want to know ask here and I'll do the best that I can to answer.

      Rear center consul

Local dealership told me there is no stock on the rear center consul, and there is no replacement date on the system!
Would be nice to know if this part is discontinued?
      Thanks

Looks like I will have to be careful when putting tyres on back seat no to crack it.

Mark CSL is in the process of developing a reinforced version in CF, which is more in keeping with the rest of the interior trim.

Just checked ... it's not NLA yet ... but nil stock and no replacement date in the system, so could take a while if you order one.

But do order one if you need it because it'll make sure that the part get put into production rather than become NLA (i.e. if they get orders they'll reproduce).

I am going to put in an order myself just to get the ball rolling :hahaha:

Hopefully when I get back from my travels next week, I will get to the dealership and place an order, after calling BMW Guilford to see if they have one or a better idea of lead-time.

                          Any news on delivery dates?
I have had the front shocks on order for 4 weeks now, one turned up today:banghead:
By all accounts the parts warehouse has moved in Germany and its a mess at the moment, even for brake pads
                          Cheers

Not surprised ... apparently the whole parts system upgrade and warehouse shifting have resulted in over 1 million pieces of items going missing :banghead::banghead::banghead: ... not even BMW AG themselves know where some of the in stock parts are.

Apparently it got so bad that BMW China chartered a cargo plane, sent a whole bunch of staff over to Germany and raided the warehouse themselves - as they were up to 8 months in arrears for repair parts and were about to lose a shitload of customers forever ...
