NLA and low on Stock CSL Parts

Wow, now that is poor, and somewhat worrying!
Second shock absorber turned up Saturday, hopefuly have the car back tomorrow

By all accounts we should have a delivery date next week!

They were meant to call me this week, but nothing so far! so taking this as bad news at the moment.:banghead:
BMW do seem to be in a pickle, if they don't sort things out soon they are standing to lose a lot of customers.
See there are reports in BMW mag there they are having issues getting parts, this bad news when it goes to press. hopefully they sort things out very soon before.

I've had some rear control arms on back order vis Elms, they are now available and will be delivered shortly apparently. I am expecting a call.

Apparently week 41 is when these will be re-stocked in Germany.

Popped into dealership Friday
Apparently they are on order, just BMW can't get a delivery from their supplier.
The spares guy showed me extract from his mails
Find this a bit surprising, have a horrible feeling we will be waiting until new year, then they will announce they no longer available.

In the end it was better that the parts weren't locked down as it ensures higher demand = continuous supply.

It has become a necessary evil if you like - we kind of need the Americans and anyone around the world to continue to buy parts so they are continuously produced.

There are a few CSL specific components that they can't acquire any longer however, but not everything is locked down.

had a call two weeks ago saying it will be in within next two weeks, popped in yesterday to pick up some other parts, now they changed their mind again and don't have a date:smt099. grrrrrr.

Are you still waiting for the rear arms??? That's strange .. we had another owner order one last month and it arrived in like 4 days. I had a nosy on the system stock level and it was quite good.

I have quite a few things on order that has a delivery date of 00,00,0000

So If there is in fact a completion date for engines then your parts advisor should be able to show you the screenshot (the systems are all identical around the world). That delivery date is from BMW AG directly.
