spoke to Ant, all sorted with no fuss from me.

Gareth (mechanic) also picked up some other problems that are all getting sorted after a compression test.

Ant at Murketts has gone way over the call of duty, its a shame he doesn't drink, I don't know what to get him as a thank you now :smt017

Also got a refund on all my diagnostics and software updates from last year

The info from Tom that I sent in an email was spot on, thanks for your top posts Tom :smt023

Ant says the car is like Steve Austin and they have rebuilt him, well nearly, fingers crossed all sorted next week, 3 weeks later :hahaha:

    Result, what a dealership :smokin:
Congrats Steve  Certainly worth the journey Sauff down to Murketts

They come with 2mm when new and if its not under 1.1mm then they should change it under warranty.

I purchased from a main dealer and have continued with my comp warranty since the AUC ran out after year 1.

can you pm me your mobile please

and Ive done less miles than most who have posted who got warranty covered jobs done :bigcry:

    only joking tankslapper :gayfight:

I blame BMW who had it 1st .....
ive had two, both under goodwill not warranty

first at about 45k miles and second about 70k miles. Paid half labour only authorised by BMWUK as clutch was not worn just slipping.

Second one i could have pushed i believe an dgot free under warranty of original replaced clutch as i had two years warranty on the part as it was goodwill, but i cose to take goodwill again as then i get another two years warranty on the clutch.

How many miles has the clutch done? If less than 50k miles i seriously doubt it is worn by normal use and either push for replacement or get independant assesement. My cltuch at 45k miles they said was knowhere near worn out (i know i am a very sympathetic driver though :smokin:
