Cluch Slip / Slurry on the up changes

Thanks to Brett for pointing me in the direction of this thread, my car is now in at Murkett's for Clutch Slur but initially the guy was hesitant of whether or not it would be covered, after speaking with Brett and Shimmy I've now instructed Murkett's to pull it all apart and hope to god that it's not worn beyond the limit! :bigcry: :banghead:

Thanks to those that have helped with advice at the moment, Adrian is meant to be calling me tomorrow or Weds so I'll report back on their findings, I've get everything I can cross crossed! :hahaha:

Just a shame Andy is in sick as I'm sure it would have been done a lot easier as he has the knowledge, just a quick question as well, would it be a good idea to make sure that they replace my flywheel if the claim goes through or will they do this as a matter of course now?

Flywheel is changed at the same time.

You may need to fight this one Dan. Be prepared. My guess is they will offer goodwill free parts and 50% labour but if you have warranty I'd stick it out.

Why do you feel this Shim, because of the screws that have supposedly been tightened on them at the moment?

I found that wording you referred me to in the email I got from them as well so will be highlighting this to Adrian when he calls tomorrow! :whistle:

Ask for the plate if they refuse and get a firm reason.

Update!

Have just got off the phone to Adrian and he's confirmed full works are going to be covered by the warranty! :banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

The clutch plate is showing signs of wear where it's been slipping but other than that nothing out of the ordinary, so they've got it sorted for me, chuffed and relieved is an understatement! LOL :hahaha:

I await the final bill with all the silly niggly bit's I'm paying for now... :bigcry:

I've given it a week and they have now returned to normal shape and colour you'll be pleased to hear! :hahaha: :thumbs:

Gave the car a run this morning to work, it's been sat since last Sunday, usually this was the time it slurred like a bastard and I was quite aprehensive this morning, now even from cold clutch is sharp as a pin, sorted! :smokin:
