Guys my plan is to keep the car pretty much standard- brake and exhaust upgrade possibly in future.

Only thing I will do straight away is buy seperate track wheels/tyres.

I will then see how fast I can be on track in it. It may not be CSL pace, but still should be pretty swift.

Been there with the matte, there are other colour choices for sure, just weighing up the options.

The CSL was pound for pound the best car Ive owned, but I dont think Ill get another just yet.

Ill have to buy a lardy V8 and see how I do on track against you CSL boys, see how much difference there is between the 2. :smokin:

I hear what you're saying Shane. That 4 litre V8 is a little gem and very seductive but you'll have to spend BIG, BIG bucks to make the Lardy E9X M3 anywhere a agile as the M3 CSL :smt055
I GUARRANTE you will set the O.E. brakes on fire within a lap or two on any track ... that will shortly be followed by the BIG realisation that O.E. suspension is only fit for the AUTOBAHN
If not another CSL... yet  why not another 996 TURBO or an early 997 TURBO... they must be down to £50K by now  http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2609106.htm

IMHO both much better out of the box  then the standard V8 M3. Just my 2 pence worth you understand

Auto boxes are too sloshy for my liking, the e92 is ticking the boxes at the minute.

            Brake upgrades 2k
            Coilovers 2k.

So 4 k to get it sorted, hardly mega bucks.

Besides Im gonna do it on a gradual modifying route.
Run standard for a while, drive to the cars limits even if they show before my limits are reached.

No car is perfect, but I think the new M3 might just be perfect for me:smt055

#The more I look at the yellow, the more I fall in love too:hahaha:

Fair enough about sloshy G-boxes :ban: that's never nice.
Last time I looked, AP Racing BBK for the lardy V8 M3 was near on £5000 :whistle:http://www.thorneymotorsport.co.uk/p...sCsid=nyasfdgn ... anything for £2K may not be Man enough :gayfight:
Ture... no car is perfect but the M3 CSL comes very close. I hope for you the Lardy M3 will be the same, even if it is  yellow :hahaha:
              Good luck hunting

There was a used set on eBay last week which went for just over £2k. It was advertised on OPL - maybe Shane has grabbed them already?!

Shane, you have to do Akrapovic full system and map. The sound is stunning and like I said, with cat back system and the correct map it's very noticeably quicker.

Dunno ... being a 4 x 4 I was cutting across the grass most of the fookin time ! ...straightlined AF !:hahaha:.

Took a "borrowed" CSL out later, but in all honesty the track seems as good as, must be a bit better as my mate Buzzer on here, USED TO OWN THE Pinnacle CSL which is now Andos, banged in PB iN the GT3 OF 8:12, STARTED THE DAY ON 8:23 SO IT WORKED FOR HIM ! FOK FOOOKITY FOKK CAPS BOLLOX !
