    The CSL Seat Saga

Well the seat frame went on my CSL
it was a week for bmw to get a new 1 so i had the bmw 520td
great car any way the seat got a scratch and the side trim was broken at the bottom :bigcry:
Bmw said it would get it sorted so a new seat came after 6 days from germany it was fitted to the car with the new trim part Happy Days
Or so i thought went in for the car and the seat has small marks on the back of it

Got the service manager out and they orderd me a new seat so yesterday took the CSL in again :-D

But this time i wanted to see the seat before they fit it
low and behold its marked again but no wonder look at how it comes
to bmw in a metal cage with all the other parts flung in :bigcry:

    Seat base £1000
    Seat side trim £400
    Seat shell £1200
and they rap it in a bubble bag thats it :bigcry:

They are going to get another seat

That seems quite wasteful of BMW to be damaging their own stock in transit :banghead:
I wonder what they are going to do with these marked NEW seat frames

It would be good if Recaro would let us have a touch up pen :banghead:

i'd be tempted to get the backs wrapped in carbon:thumbs: proper carbon, not stick on tape

That is worth considering. The back of the seat is very delicate/fragile - as is the steering wheel, and few other items :-D

Judging by the date on that, it's been sitting in the back of some warehouse in Bavaria for the last 9 years as well.
