    Paint Warranty

This is a CSL i seen today and its the 3 CSL with Paint on the rear arch blistering just where the bumper and the wheel arch meet at the back wheel
its not looking good for owners that have no paint warranty:banghead:

Come to think about it cars with the 10 year paint warranty are in the same boat after next year :hahaha:

This car is waiting to hear if warranty will cover it.

Has any one had this or have you not looked ?

The bottom picture is the bottom of the front wing at the door.

Agree with Bounce, it is 12 years for cars registered after 1st Jan 2004... I am one of them, phew!

Don't think the bottom of the door will be covered since it's likely to have been caused by stone chipping even moreso with the sticky Cup/R888's or could have been could on a high kerb at some point. I've seen this happen, luckily enough not with the CSL but with another car. Nasty enough, I'll need to give mine a good once over.

Even less likely they'll repair it then since it's even closer to the wheel. Fingers crossed though, I'd certainly like to see it repaired under warranty,

Mine starting to look a little tired these days. Its in next month for an Oil Service and to have a few things looked at under warranty as well as the paintwork. It was registered June 04 so should be under the 12yr cover.

My car developed this on the drivers side rear arch just at the point it meets the rear bumper.

Had BMW look at it in November but was told it wasn't a warranty job as most likely caused by stone chips. The repair was around £250.

                          Update
BMW have said yes to the paint warranty and the CSL is booked in to have the blistering repaired

This is how they should be with this type of blistering as there is no way a stone can chip that part .
