    It was quick though.
I went through loads of drive shafts on my 9 & didn't go to a X purely because its so ugly!

Agreed if its wet nothing to touch the Subaru/Mitsubishi's

Love the gen 1 997 GT3, although the gen 2s are a slightly better looking car for me. Wouldn't say no to either however.

Interesting fact here. Our local Porsche distributor took the new 991 Carrera S to the old A1GP track in Taupo here in NZ together with a gen 2 997 GT3, put the current Porsche GT3 Cup Champion in the driver seat to see the laptime difference .... shock horror, the new 991 Carrera S was a full 1.5 seconds quicker compared to the 997(2) GT3 !!!!

They then put the Gen2 GT3 Cup car on track and timed that ... no surprise there, it thrashed both cars by a good 7 seconds on really used slicks :hahaha:

Agree on the Gen 2, prefer the spoiler and little updates all subtle, but where as mine was mid 50's for a 30k miler the gen 2 is 70, so an extra 15k ish for a few tweaks ?? :smt102 Couldnt justify it in my head, and the the gen 1 is still and awesome bit of kit ... so no brainer really ...

Agreed, big jump to the Gen 2! Would imagine a big/quick loss buying a 70-80k example but @ mid 50's i cant see your's shifting much. I also think (correct me if im wrong) the market is bigger for the GT3 rather than the RS?

Exactly .. I think the audience is probably wider non RS I know a couple of people with Gen2 RS's who wish they had gone GT3.2 as much more of an all rounder and if you know what your doing there is marginal difference in track times and potentially quicker point to point on UK shite roads !

It's great choice Daz and the difference between 997 gt3 rs and 997 gt3 is not massive in lap times. Best choice IMO and as sy says you won't blow your brains out in depreciation.

If you need pork advice. We have very good relations with 9m and tech9.

Needs a Geo at some point, but nothing track orientated more fast road, and general advice on it from peeps in the know etc would be really handy ..
