Opposite the museum is a large Porsche showroom

    Two Carrera GT's for sale

A walk round the back of the showroom, and what should we stumble across, not often you'll see three Carrera GT's in one day! In fact, make that four, there was one in the museum - Another US registered car in Germany!

Cars are exciting enough for me thanks

This bike has been in the news since my visit, by setting the fastest ever motorcycle BTG lap of the Nordschleife at 7min 10sec, Andy Carlile at the controls of this 2005 YZF-R1 using road legal tyres during a public session!

        A rare Spyker C8

        Beautifully finished car

        Sounded pretty good as well!

Great pics. To me the rear of the cabin looks odd on the spyker.

A relatively new name in motoring

Lots of muppets in town as usual...

              Statler and Waldorf:
              Is your hearing aid fixed?
              No.
How do you know what I'm saying?
              I don't.
              Oh.

                        Very nice RSR replica

However, this is as far as it got, turned away when it failed the noise test :-(

                        A trip to Nurburg castle

                        Great view up here!

It wouldn't be the Nurburgring without buses, this is the latest from Scania!!

My now traditional Ring Taxi photo shot :-)

                              Immaculate 911

This car managed to ruin my final evening of lapping, he crashed and then broke all the rules by carrying on driving, trailing fluid for the final part of the lap, a biker then came to grief, thankfully the rider was pretty much ok, but his bike was wrecked. This guy was actually out practicing for the 24 Hour race, I can report that he crashed out of the 24 Hours within the first hour, poetic justice.

Our trip was at an end, but we had one last automotive visit before heading home.

We called in at Classic Remise Dusseldorf on the way back, this is an amazing classic car collection, the interesting thing is that this is actually a showroom, everything is for sale.

The showroom is set in an old railway roundhouse, this is a model of what it would have looked like back in the day.

This is the poor state of repair it had fallen into

                                Quite an amazing transformation!
