Had 4 warning lights come on while driving yesterday, I can't do anything with the traction control button. Any ideas please before it goes to BMW?

When I had the same issue, there wasn't even a problem. For some reason the ECU just decided to stop communicating with one of the front sensors. Typically it happened on the way to the 'ring :banghead: . Fortunately one of Toughy's friends had his laptop with BMW software and lead with him and plugged it into the OBD port and just told the ECU to start communicating with the sensor again. This was over 2 years ago and the error has not come back since. Fingers crossed it is just as easy for you

What is the score with these sensors? Are they just off the shelf items from BMW ie pick a new one up and replace it? I take it once replaced it the errors will need deleting to get rid of the lights.
I got the DSC and yellow brakes (- ?) icon come up on mine today.
Presumably they are just caused by dirty contacts rather than failure. Are they are DiY fix for tinkerers or just for 'experts'?
Words from the wise appreciated.

Ps not my car as I have only reached ~40,000

Could be a number of reasons, something you can do yourself is disconnect and reconnect the pressure sensors on the brake master cylinder. There are 2 of them, a little bit fiddly. Other than that you'll need to get the faults read I'm afraid.
