the same thing happened to mine... well i found a quick fix and im not sure if it'll work for you. While driving, I quickly flip the key from on to acc and back to on. All this is done as fast as you blink. Remember you have to have to car on and engine running.. let me know if that fixes it.

This is exactly what just happened to me. Driving home one night, the clutch pedal went to the floor and didn't come back up. It was the maser cylinder.Originally posted by Zoomzoom951Were you messing with the clutch pedal at all? I brought my car to a mechanic a year or 2 ago for the clutch pedal cylinder and ever since then cc hasn't worked. I think there is a switch or linkage back there not 100% sure.
Unfortunately, I had the car at two different shops since the first shop had no idea how to replace the master cylinder so I don't know who to ask to fix it.

I'll check it out, thanks!Originally posted by pierrebondCheck your clutch pedal switch. It's white and located behind your clutch pedal. If it's no longer working or stuck in the engaged position, your cruise control will not work. Part number is 61-31-8-360-421-M85 if you look at PelicanParts.com

I had a misaligned clutch switch in my manual sedan. There are two clutch switches (that's right Bray & White-hot, I dropped my under dash and checked ) and the switch closer to the driver was not making contact.
While driving, I was able to use the tip of my toes to pull the clutch pedal towards me (and hold it there) while using the stalk to set the speed . The pull created just enough force to make contact at the switch and the cruise control came online.
