Nick is an expert in this area and has done this job many times... he actually did mine for me while we were rebuilding my car in a 24 hour period. I'm running UUC bushings with a brand new OEM pedal and it made a HUGE difference in feel. I didn't know that AKG produced bushings for this application or else I probably would have considered them. Not that there are anything wrong with the UUC's, I'm just not a huge supporter of some of their other products.

I've done this replacement, and it's a HUGE improvement in feel. However - and this might just be me here - it still looks cocked to the left to me. New OEM pedal and UUC bushings. Shrug.

I'll pay for you to get a rub & tug if you do a detailed DIY on this!

It needs to be done so bad on my car.

I remember thinking that it didn't look as perfect as I thought it would either, but I can't see where there could be any room for slop...

At any rate, the clutch action is rock solid and super smooth and there's no side to side slop, so I'm happy...

Impressions after installation: awesome. No more slop, clutch action is smoother, seemingly easier, and much nicer overall.

Where is everyone getting their clutch pedal? Dealer? Couldn't find it at some the aftermarkets..

I installed the UUC bushings without putting in a new pedal because I didnt know it was a wear item, but since I did a full clutch job i might as well do this too.

after new bushings, it still sits to the left.

Thanks, guys. I just ordered these parts now. My clutch pedal is twisted like a pretzel, and the new polyurethane (UUC) bushings I installed 6 months ago are now squeaking. I'm sure it's because I didn't properly grease them. What grease should I use with the AKG bushings? White lithium grease?

Ordered a new pedal and AKG bushings. Who would have thought you could replace this whole setup for $50 shipped???

Ugh me too Spence. I swear every time I get in the car the clutch pedal moves further away from the other pedals

                                Mine just looks like hell.....

I just did this for a friend's '99 vert. I was surprised at how much this not only relocated the clutch pedal, and made it feel more solid, but also slightly changed the clutch engagement point. Maybe this is part of why my clutch grabs right off the floor.
