It is making me a better driver than I am. Gonna keep modding the driver.Originally posted by slickfastdamn man, that Z3M is lookin fiiiine.
Time to put it away for the winter. Can't wait for next season.
Switching from the White Mountain Chapter to the Boson Chapter BMWCCA. They are really into a lot of events and are great at sharing driver skills.

You registered for a solo class as a novice who has never run a track day before??Originally posted by AaviGreen Instructed was sold out, which was the one I was trying for. So I registered for SOLO green.
Try a solo Blue or Green.
The reason for the wait list is because there arent enough instructors. You'll be going out without an instructor and will be a danger to all others on the track... You should probably change that...

Nope I am fine with it and aware of track behavior, plus I am running solo in novice/beginner class.Originally posted by PurduinaM3You registered for a solo class as a novice who has never run a track day before??

An instructor or at least a more knowledgeable friend (for a lap day for example) is a great idea. I personally try to get one whenever possible, and I will for a long time to come. A second set of eyes and ears is good to have for both on-track SA and detecting problems with the car itself.

completely WRONG behavior to have.. u really need to sign up for INSTRUCTOR novice.. they dont have the instructors for everyone, thus the wait list...Originally posted by AaviNope I am fine with it and aware of track behavior, plus I am running solo in novice/beginner class.
There is a VERY VERY high chance u are going to get there, they are going to find out you are a complete noob, and WONT LET U RUN. Thank you for the money, but you willingly signed up in the wrong run group, and are now a danger/safety issue for everyone else on the track. I would not be surprised if they told u that you cant go out.

Even with all my auto-x experience, and other racing experience, I still remember my first and second track days, and I was COMPLETELY lost. Forget about the fact that you won't even be close to finding the correct line, but you won't know where any of the flagging stations are, or any of the passing etiquette etc etc. I would recommend to ANYONE that they have an instructor in car at all times for at least their first 4-5 track days. Your attitude is completely wrong and as Calvin said, you'll most likely be black flagged within the first few laps and thrown off the track with no refund.
Track situations are dangerous enough even when you have an instructor, and especially when you have no high performance driving experience. IIRC, you've only been to 1-2 auto-x's and aren't even comfortable with pushing the car hard. I'm not trying to be a dick here, but you're honestly putting yourself and everyone else in danger by your decisions. Get on the waitlist, get an instructor, and run the proper way. If you don't get to run because you waited to long to register or because they don't have enough instructors, so be it; there will be plenty other track days. If you go out and total your car or hurt yourself there won't be...
