Do you have any information to back that up? The only thing I see to be inferior about the design is the metal clasp and rivets that hold the rubber in place. One could easy modify that if what you say is true.
Just because it is from Napa, does not mean it's any inferior.
I actually did look into that option during my research, and it looks completely viable. Nice price, simple yet strong design. The only thing that I worry about is those thin rubber tabs underneath the rubber possibly breaking. I think I might actually try them out. I've got nothing to lose. OEM rear exhaust, and if it does fall and drag on the ground I have great excuse to get aftermarket exhaust. I think i'll try them.

His usage of the word "unless" leads me to believe he was agreeing with you, but I'll wait for him to respond to clarify what he really meant...
my post was worded a bit poorly...but still makes sense
No, it really doesn't make sense. The way it is worded makes us believe that you are against using the bmw mount. Can you please clarify what you are trying to say? Thanks!

Makes sense to me...
He's suggesting that Brent's mount is suitable except for people that enjoy replacing mounts every three months. In other words, the mount pictured in Brent's post is a solid, reliable choice for an exhaust mount.

I think that's a metal strap.
Looks like a solid choice, and for the price can't be beat. It might transfer a little more vibration back to the vehicle than the stock design, but that's not a huge concern for most people, I don't think.

No it doesn't, because I thought you indicated that the NAPA mounts will fail every 3 months, and Bobby thinks you mean the OEM ones with fail every 3 months. Vader thinks you're against the BMW mount, and Hencini thinks you're against the NAPA mount.
Let's not post anything that isn't true, as OEM mounts last for years, and the NAPA mounts have been reported to last a very long time.
Now, please clarify and add backup information for your argument.

And he would be hugely incorrect to state that OEM mounts only last a few months. They last years even with the weight of the stock muffler on them.

Oops. Brett. Right. My bad.
Anyway, I thought he *liked* the NAPA mount... Isn't that obvious from my post? Hell, this is a nightmare...
And I (for one) realize that the OEM mounts are adequate...
Oh, for get it... This thread has spun totally out of control. Damn interwebs.
Just to be fair, my new OEM's (lemforders) lasted less than a year with the stock exhaust and aggressive driving. Got my second pair on with the AA exhaust now and they seem to be holding up alright, but haven't checked in a while.
