What do luggage compartment straps hook to in the fornt?

I picked up a set of these:

Then found that there were no obvious place to hook to in the front of the trunk. The rear of the trunk has the cleats shown in the picture. If you have some sort of loop in the forward corners, could you take a picture and post it, or email it to me?

Isn't that a sketch of a BMW Wagon? I don't think M3's have loops or anything likewise to hook a tie down strap to

It comes up from RealOEM using my M3 VIN. Maybe its a mistake. But the rear cleats are definitely in mine.

It must be a mistake. I have rear cleats as well...but like you said there is nothing up front to hook to..and i just checked to be sure because you got me wondering.

Thanks. I will fabricate some forward hold downs. I should have checked BEFORE I bought the straps.

Interesting, I don't have that cleat shown in the right...

They're attached to the plastic pieces around the spare wheel. Was there a different part number for the 95 pieces?

They (the hook points) are present on every e36 battery cover/driver-side equivalent piece I've ever seen. Maybe it broke off on his car

I went out and looked closely at that piece and couldn't see any evidence that anything like that was ever there.

Just checking, are they buried under carpet? One of mine was totally hidden when I went to install my cargo net. It was hidden pretty well, I thought it was not there.

I pulled the carpet and didn't find any signs of forward cleats. And the diagram shows cleats much further forward than the plastic cleats you all seem to have.

Looking more closely at your diagram, it looks like the seats are folded down and the harness clips to the outer seat hinge points. I just looked at mine, though, and there's nothing there to clip to (and very little room to get anything like a carabiner in there, particularly without likely damaging the seat leather).
