"Investment" may be a poor choice of words.Originally posted by Pierre i amCars are poor investments in general lol. but for that price it's a great car if you will drive it.
I think the key is to buy cars that you can care for and enjoy, and not lose your ass when/if you sell them.
I owned my Ferrari for 2 years, put 5k miles on it, and made money when I sold it.
How many of us wish they had bought E30 M3s when they were sub 20k?
*or like me, not sold yours for 30k, when it would resell for 45k 2 years later...
How many wish they had picked up a 964 when you could buy them in the mid 20s just a few years ago?
The list goes on...but with E36 M3 pricing on the rise (for nice examples) I have to believe that the good ones will enjoy a nice appreciation curve over the next 5-10 years.

I can view the table, you have 1 of 253.Originally posted by BmwbosoxDoes anyone have the original table of 5 speed vert production numbers that was in the first post? I can only see the individual custom configures that were written out. I have a 99 cosmos black on black interior with 5 speed. Probably not very rare but curious as to how many exist.
