Oh come on... Now you're just showing off...

[m3f_sharpie]

Interesting to see. I've seen far and away more titan/cosmos. I've seen about seven titan/black combos like mine in the area.

[m3f_greyflyer]

Curious to see how this goes. I think I have the most common color combination titanium/schwartz, but there aren't that many 5-speeds and I think the only option my car doesn't have are the headlight washers.

The script is setup to only pull the 5-speed production numbers.

Then mine will be there!

same here. now lets see the numbers.

[m3f_greyflyer]

Sweet! 1 of 280 not bad, I'll take it. Wonder how many were made by year?

I know that was a good amount of work, nice job.

[m3f_sharpie]

Wow, my first one (Alpine/Mulberry) was one of 11. My current is (titan/black 04/1999) one of 280.

edit: the early cutoff date was 98? or this is only for '98 cars?

[m3f_sharpie]

so just for clarification - this is for 98 and 99 models, not just 98?

Yep, 98s & 99s.

[m3f_white-hot]

Interesting. I am surprised at the numbers. Thanks again for putting these up.

[m3f_greyflyer]

So my M3 is 1 of 2252 manual convertibles produced, and 1 of 280 in silver/black. As a comparison, my 308 is 1 of 748 GTB QVs produced, and 1 of just 201 produced in 1985...at least half were red/tan or red/black. Call it 1 out of 100.

Interesting that something from a fairly large manufacturer is pretty comparable in "rarity" with something from a really small manufacturer. I've always liked unusual cars, this just confirms it.

[m3f_cmrflyer]

Mine is one of thirty seven, kind of makes the 308 look very common. Do you want to swap?

Sure! Yeah...umm...waitaminute...ummm...no.

I do like the gray though.

ok so apparently I like very common colors on uncommon cars.
