Mine is one of 53 cosmos/sands. I bought it from the original owner in 2010, had he bought it off lease in 2000. The original carbon of the cashier's check shows that he paid $49,000 and change for it at BMW of Peabody outside Boston. I think it has every US option, as it has a hardtop and windblocker, plus the usual seat heaters, full OBC, power seats, etc. It's bone stock except for audio stuff (still C43 head unit tho) and Koni yellows.

I think the E36 verts are much better looking than the chubby E46 verts. There aren't really any decent-sized, 4-seat, manual tranny convertibles I'd rather have than my M3. It's not what I would call fast in a straight line, but it's not slow, either. It's just a really smooth, comfortable, great-handling, reliable, and cheap to own summer car.

Totally agree. The E46 feels much bigger and heavier than the E36, even though it has more performance. E36s have a beautiful light feel that is exactly what I was looking for.

Oh and anyone who says the vert misses out on the "M3 experience" is missing out on the experience. An M3 convertible is a BEAUTIFUL car to drive, great handling and response with 93 million miles of headroom. It's the real sports car of the lineup, coupes are just pretenders.

Wow!!!! I'm 1 of 29 - I knew my Estoril/black 5spd was 'rare', that is why it took so long to find. MNow I can finally put a number to it,

Hard to tell from the photos... looks like Sand Beige. You can enter the last 7 of your VIN here and get the build info.
