      No. That's fact.

We have mEmbers in Washington. You just insulted 75% of them at least.

Allow me to expand upon my statement. "Looking better" means zero. It's salvage with a quick repaint, covered in cheap ebay mods, has poor panel alignment, two 3rd brake lights, rashed wheels and a torn seat. That "looks" good or did you like that the new paint was shiny?

Common sense suggests that looks can be deceiving but in this case it looks like salvage and it is.

Allow me to expand upon my statement. I never said they looked bad, but I like mine better for the price than theirs, especially with half the miles they have. If you don't know what Rebuilt means, let me elaborate , it means it was hit, and most likely mean's that it will have problems like those above you stated. I also forgot to state that I wanted to change the wheels, and wanted a opinion on what are best for White E36 M3's. Also there is no 2 3rd lights because there is no light at all on the Spoiler, by the time I make mine look nice it will be less money and more than half of the miles that most M3's have.

          Haha. Ok.

You're right. That 3rd brake light on the spoiler is an empty cavity to collect water. I referred to it by the light that is supposed to be in it.

I know what rebuilt means. It means that you have no F ucking clue what tree that car was wrapped around or the extent of the damage. You can polish a turd but you're not fooling me.

Mileage is irrelevant. That car was ridden hard and put away wet. I don't car what the odo tells you.

I went my mechanic before hand and he took of the head and everything and said , It is in fact a low mile E36 , so you point is invalid. My car also pulls better and runs way better than my freinds 1995 Built M3. Yes I can obviously see you hate Rebuilt title as do some people, but as I said before the price I got it for is hard to beat.

Living in Washington myself he is right about how many bad ones are in wa.

I know of 6 m3's in my area that are in great condition, but I have seen around 10 that are owned by kids who just stance it and say it's a show car?

That being said you have a good opportunity to have one of the nice ones after some work!

If you are looking for a shop to get the rash fixed at dependable wheel repair in Renton is good.

No I am actually looking for some good aftermarket wheels, I rarely actually see E36 M3's , see more of the E46's but 2 of my freinds have one , and they surely say mines is better even though my car is rebuilt. Yes , I am going to try to fix it up like the headlights, backseat, but other than that it runs really clean!

He pulled the head off? Bullshit. Absolutely bullshit.

Do you know the hours associated with that job? The scale of that job? What did he charge you? Which gasket set did he use? Was the vanos replaced?

You are 100% full of shit.

This is an e36 m3 forum. Do you think we've never seen one before?

                  My point is 100% valid.

Who is mine? Let's see his car. It's gotta be better than this pile.

OP car looks decent but it needs a lot of work. you have no records of the damage or parts used to replace it. Front end is all misaligned along with the trunk it looks like. I can only assume you got absolutely no maintenance records with the car. The previous owner obviously loved ebay parts so i'm sure you'll find crap parts all over the car. Is there a little red circle on your odometer? did you run a car fax?

Point is, aftermarket wheels should be the least of your worries right now. Get the maintenance items done like bushings, cooling system, stripping all that god awful ebay crap off it and realigning the panels. Then you'll have a half decent car.

Also don't try and bullshit this forum saying you pulled the head to check the mileage. Thats a ridiculous job to do and we know you're full of shit. Even pulling the valve cover is pointless and doesn't prove anything mileage related.

What exactly does pulling the head off accomplish?

How much did your mechanic charge you for "pull[ing] the head off?" I'm sure whatever he charged I could have "done" the same job for half the price in half the time.

Sorry to say it, but you got ripped off.

I'll be honest, I don't always do a pre purchase inspection on every car that I buy... but when I do, I always pull the cylinder head.

I still wanna see Mine's car. Apparently Mine has better taste in cars than the OP.

Me too. Nothing like putting a couple of grand into a PPI on a car that you'd consider purchasing for a couple of grand.
