Far less rough than you'd think for the price- I feel pretty fortunate overall. 151k miles and I'd give it a solid 7 out of 10. Have even found some things that had been done (guibo, tranny mounts) that I don't think the previous owner knew about. I'm going to post an intro thread and some pictures when I get a chance. I had been lurking for a while so happy to finally be "part of the gang".

My main point was that an asking price is just that, an asking price, and if you find someone who really wants to sell sometimes you don't even have to haggle much they'll throw out a nice number to you.

It's really not a relevant comparo without some basic understanding of condition

Thanks for negotiation 101. I'll try to recall upon that knowledge next time I buy something. Make a lowball offer. Got it.

I'm really not sure how "things that the PO didn't know about" are good. Even if those things are replaced parts. The ideal seller knows everything about the car. Surprises come in both good and bad and you're in for some I'm sure

I'm anxious to see the car.

Do you have some one piss in your coffee every morning just so you can come here and be a prick?

            Welcome to M3F.

I don't actually. I come here to be honest.

Badgtho can be rude but he certainly knows more than you.

And after 98 posts I'm not sure that I value that criticism.

If you read this thread, or any other of my recently participated threads for that matter, I think you'd agree that I am often one of the first to offer good information or to ask important questions.

What I don't do is beat around the bush or shy away from stating opinion as opinion or fact as fact.

This is an Internet forum, not a support group. People come here to get information.

If you're looking to have a foolish purchase justified, want info on laying frame, enjoy carbon hoods and painted mouldings, this may not be the place for you.

If you're looking for emotional validation, the internet may not be the place for you.

                  Make sense?

Post count doesn't mean anything a damn thing. I've been reading here longer than I have been posting. And someone like egebhart has been here almost as long as you have and has a fraction of your posts. Who cares how many posts someone has. You clearly like to come off as a smart ass 12,000 posts or not. There are many ways to tell someone they have made a bad decision. You choose the "you are a ****ing dumbass" route. I get you might have a lot of knowledge with these cars but you come off as a crotchety old man. Going out of your way to tell people they are idiots in some crafty way is really just being a dick. Like I said, you can choose to be constructive or choose to be mean. You seem to always choose the jerk route if its something you don't "approve" of. Plus you wear that quote like some badge of honor. You like being a dick. Trying to tell me you are helping people out with your "extra" information after you slam them doesn't fly. You just come off as a typical "know it all" internet forum dick. There are plenty of people here with a ton of knowledge that don't choose to be an ahole about it. I'm not telling anyone how to act, just making an observation and asking you why you feel it is necessary to slam people you don't agree with?

I think you're looking for more out of this forum than it really offers. I will agree that post count means little. I do think that being an e36 owner for 10 years does give me a bit of insight that others may not have. I understand your point and if you've got good information to share I'd like to think that this forum will accept it. Even on your 99th post.

I also think you'll find that most of us (who joined years ago) take a more blunt approach to our responses. We've seen much of this before and we've seen members like you come and go.

Also, This is not a terribly diverse forum in that we often vote as a block. We like OEM or near OEM. We like proper maintenance, we like quality mods and we like clean cars. Other forums feel differently. Stance works or BFC may suite your interests more accurately.

If you post on an Internet forum, you invite all types of responses. I think that's reasonable to assume. The responses you will get here are pretty predictable.

So with that: Welcome to M3f, Your constant crying in this thread is getting old.

We helped you when you thought you blew your motor in a previous thread and you handled yourself much better.

I said nothing at your "but you drive a white convertible" quip in another previous thread even though I do also have one and could have cried about you being a big bad meanie.

I'm just not really seeing that "slamming" in this thread but as someone who clearly sees him/herself as a victim I can appreciate that you're reading into things.

I'm not looking for anything out of this forum but information just was wondering why you like to shit on people you don't agree with. Every forum has their dickheads, you clearly are one of this forums. Congratulations. I love how pointing this fact out to people is "crying" to them. "Let me be an *******, just don't call me out on it". I don't need to know you reasoning for not liking certain styles. We know, unless its stock, its sucks ass to you "veterans" of this forum. I was merely commenting on what I have seen since I have been reading here. You obviously can't handle it so I'll just leave it at that.

I seem to be handling it all just fine. Reread your run-on sentences and rants. You seem to having a problem coping with the way this thread is going.

Your statement that "if it's not stock it sucks" is not at all what should be taken from my statements above. This is like a study hall argument with a bad high school girlfriend. What's next, we don't like your new purse?

It's not you. It's me. I think we should see other people.

as the perpetual victim, you will take things as you choose and find a way to be hurt by others.

If you find noble cause in pointing out the obvious then please label yourself as the innocent victim and get over it.

The only way you seem to be handling it by is attacking me with passive aggressive, ***** bullshit. You still haven't addressed the basic question of why you enjoy being such an ass. Do you not have any friends? Were you picked on as a child? No one else in RL to talk shit to? I'm not a victim of anything. Your reading comprehension is poor at best. I never asked your opinion of anything here. There is no victim. Just a typical internet smart ass who cant deal with being called out on his shit and then turns to attacking the one calling them out. I've said all I'm going to say. Have a nice life being an prick to strangers.
