Is it really that difficult? I changed the speakers in my Tahoe and had to take the panel off (I understand it is a 100% different car) and that was a really really simple job. I imagined this would be similar. (Different, but not more difficult)

Taking the panels off is simple. Swapping the insert involves a whole lot more. These door panels are old and brittle. The inserts were never made to remove.

The cars with airbags in the doors are even more difficult to easily swap inserts.

Define big project? Compared to what? I didn't see any mentioning of what could be easily swapped.

And no, coupe panels are not different. Only the handle is and only on the passenger's side.

So for sake of correcthess, the driver's panel is identical, so more than just interchangable.

Jesus Christ. Yes the coupe handle will fit if you don't mind a huge hole in the passenger panel. That's like saying that style 5s fit. You made a statement that was mostly correct, partially incorrect. That bit of difference Is important. I corrected that portion. Someone who claims to be some OEM zen master might have mentioned that big ****ing hole.

        Get over it.

Big project: more than most people would want to attempt without knowing what's involved.

Compared to what: a small easy project.

Ever done it? This will be the second time I've asked you.

Could not have said it better Ben! I have been rebuilding the door cards on my coupe. I have removed the door cards from the door (very easy) only to find that most of what was glued to the back of the door card from the factory had shattered and delaminated.

The entire door card and insert has to be remanufactured. I think they used balsa wood and paper machet on the 1995 panels. I then carefully separated the insert from the door card and removed the factory vinyl from the insert. Then the factory glue was removed before recovering the insert with Alcantara. (not easy, but doable). I have prepped and reassembled the entire door card/insert/bracketry to better than factory quality.

Much more in depth than simply swapping the panel.....

Maybe you should get over it. My statement is 100%: it fits. End of discussion. There being a hole is a totally different thing. I nowhere would (nor did) advice doing so, but lots of people don't care for 100% OEM-ness (Yes I as OEM zen would never do such thing). And it's not a big hole, but still a hole.

And I don't know what the average Joe on here finds a big project. So not sure if the "more than most people" counts for the members here.

Ever done it? Not not me, never needed to. But I have seen tons of people who did. Some found it easy, some not (the Touring/Sedan inserts are easier to do btw).

            So there you go.
