Just because you haven't lowered the rear (yet) doesn't mean you haven't fully qualified for the Stancypants title.

it doesnt. it ruins the car. i have zero taste. i actually set out with this build determined to deflower and destroy the car as effectively as possible. actually, i went well beyond my mark. i cant even drive it anymore....its so non-fuctional now. it currently lives out its days in my garage where i open the door on weekends for the children of the neighborhood to throw rocks at it and call it bad names. on the bright side, its helped many of them with their aggression issues so hopefully one day they wont end up on a random forum attempting to bully others in order to compensate for their own low self esteem.

and btw a 225 on a 9.5in wheel is not a slight stretch. Most people on here run a 245 on an 8.5 or 255 on a 9 like myself.

wow alright. You could have been mature and given me an adult answer but instead you choose to patronize me with a smartass response.

well done. my next question is how a 12 year old girl can afford 2 cars. It's amazing. please tell me your secret.

sir, i responded in-kind. you didnt ask a legit question...it was obviously in jest, a way for you to attempt to question why i set MY car up the way i did. i already stated pages ago that its my preference and for aesthetics - not performance. but we can continually revisit things if you like.

its a 17 year old car putting down 240hp (at best) - im not hitting a race track. you guys really need to get a chill pill. its a $5k daily driver. im not chasing Sabine on the 'ring in this thing. calm the hell down. you guys are really wacky. this thread has been so much fun! lol

but to answer your follow-up question: i buy sell/trade stancypants parts. a very lucrative business (outside this forum obviously)....the demand these days is off the chains! far better dividends than my girl scout cookie biz...

OP - you need some thicker skin.

It's the internet, you put up pictures of your car, your cat, or your girlfriend you're going to get comments, positive and negative. I don't remember anyone promising a trophy for participating.

If you are truly happy with your car don't worry about the nay sayers.

If you are looking for affirmation that you have made good choices with your mods, well, I don't think you're going to find that here.

i can dig it. trust me...no one here has gotten under my skin. i did see an opportunity however to shed some light on how this should be a place for enthusiasts to gather. dont like what you see....there's a tactful way of saying it.

im still going to mod my car the way i want. its no skin off my back. but i am willing and skillful enough to trade in banter if the occasion calls for it.

how are you guys going to treat the new kid who just bought his first ///M car who joins the forum? do you all stand by your behavior? your poor show of tact & eloquence? luckily im steadfast in my taste and my ways...unshakable even. i have continually laughed off the rudeness of most ppl here and even thanked those who have respectfully disagreed with my mods.

but i fear for those noobs who sign up and get the picture that this is actually how the BMW enthusiast community is run. because this is NOT how its done gentlemen.

I think the brake pads should be wrapped in the OEM color. That is all.

I was trying to buy one last year but it is impossible to find a Californian one without any rust. Looks like i missed the boat and prices are starting to sky rocket.

I truly think they are the best looking M car.

Old school m5 are sweet but no comparison to a well maintained e24 635CSi aka M6 in North America.
