Economy at the time was in the shitter. The e30 m3 was a relative flop in the US and they were sitting on dealer floors being sold at a discount. The only reason US got the car is a very persuasive group of people from the BMW CCA.

ah..so they made a watered down version to 'test' the market, given the e30M's poor numbers? < still doesnt make sense to me given the costs associated with the 'exclusive measure'.. there were other weak economies who indeed still got the original product...



So whats the logic behind the e46M differing? 3ers were selling like hotcakes as soon as the e46 was introduced

I'm not sure someone understands how inflation works. 50k in 94 would be around 90k if my math is close

Good to see another Euro around and that looks likes it's in good condition. Obviously garaged most of its life or that Dakar paint would be well faded.
