I doubt it is the bolts unless you completely missed some.

You’re positive the head is not cracked? Just because a machine shop worked on it doesn’t mean they checked it (has happened to me).

Yeap, we had him check it and that's why he had an extra day for it. I inspected it visually too but I didn't see anything. I'm pretty positive at this time the headgasket didn't sit properly or I did something stupid since this was my first time.

Well post up the comp numbers before you rush into tearing back apart.

Unfortunately sounds like either the head has a small crack that wasn't found, or the gasket is bad/off. I bought my 95M with a "bad headgasket" slowly puffing white smoke. I went in for a HG change and the machine shop said there was a big ol crack in it. Replaced with a "new" head and elring gasket. Worked perfectly, 10k miles no heat or oil issues.

Here's the link where I posted the compression test. It was cold when the compression test was done. And like I expected cylinder 1 where I did the 45 degree turns that's where it was low.

I think I messed up putting the gasket in and securing the head bolts

As long as it added up to 180 degrees it doesn’t matter.

Cylinder 1 is closest to radiator, cylinder 6 is closest to cowl/firewall.

Cylinder 6 is what I meant. Those back bolts were hard to get

Well, so I replaced the bolts. Drove the pig no SMOKE. Dipstick was not milky at all. She's back and running. Only negative is the check engine light is on from an o2 sensor. But other than that I'm back in business

Then you grossly did something wrong. Even shorted 10-30 degrees, I would expect it to seal.

                            Do your compression test again.
