only palce to get OEM spoiler is the dealer. YOu can get an "OEM STYLE" spoiler any where else. FYI, oem spolier is easyer to install, the screw is close to the edge of the truck, they might also marked. After market spoiler is messy, you have to remove alotof sheet metal to install them. They might make one that fit in the factory hole.

has anybody installed the pre-painted oe style m3 wing?

when bought my m3, the previous owner did not have the wing as an option, but i kinda like the look.

also, what do you do with the factory brake light in the back window if you install a wing?:???:

if the mounding hole are near the edge of the truck than it a piece of cake. find out first.

as for the third brake light behind the window, just remove the bulb. it doesn't set off the brake warning light on the OBC at all.

            FSR,

I bought my spoiler from Spoilerdepot.com. I bought it through Ebay for $112.

Paid them $70 to paint it for me.

It was easy to install, just had to drill 2 holes on each side in the trunk lid and mount it, and hook up the wires for the brake light!

Very easy to do, and it looks great!!!

            Here's 2 pics of it.

thanks for the pics! your car looks great.

one question, are the bulbs replaceable in the spoiler if they burn out?

                  Thanks.

I don't know if the bulbs are replaceable or not.

                  I hope so

There were no instructions on mine either for the brake light.

We drilled a hole through the trunk lid and used the rubber grommet to seal out any water. Then drilled another hole on the under side of the trunk lid and ran the wire through there. Then we hooked it into the brake light positive wire. Use a tester to find the correct wire. Take out the bulb in your rear window brake light, it will look better that way.

Let me know if you need more help. I can check mine out in more detail if you need.

If you need me to check which wire to tap into, I can.

I can't believe how good that spoiler looks on Firefighter's car for less than $200!!! I have been looking for one for my car, but it seems harder to find one without the light since my 3rd brake light is in the trunk lid (convertible).

Firefighter- DDid the paint match pretty well? Did they just ask for your factory color code and do that? I had looked at some on ebay but they were all close to $300 painted...I will definitely check out spoilerdepot.com

What is spoilerdepot's ebay user name? I looked at your spoiler on their website and it was $259 painted plus shipping which is no better than the competition. If I can get one for the price you paid on ebay, that would be a steal!
