Yep..there it is in the corner of the glass ...DEPO. Why is my relay not opening for the angel eyes. The wire harness is connected to the battery + with a fuse a few inches down...it is grounded to body...then the relay...out of the relay one side to angel eye pos and neg...one side to angel eye neg only...I tapped the park light to the open angel eye pos.....all connections and grounds are good..I've triple checked...but no angel eyes...bad relay maybe? Can I get one at any Autozone or Pep Boys? Does it matter that I didn't connect the grey wires to the DEPOs 4 input pins since I have no intention of using city lights? I only connected the white, yellow and brown. HELP!!!! I used to think I was fairly mechanically inclined...now I feel like a booger.
There's enough DDE questions here for me to ask one as well...
Does anybody know if I can wire DDE's up to replace the function on the "parking" lights in the Euro enclosures?
We call the little bulb in the high beam enclosure the "parking light" (we don't have "city lights" and I don't know what they are). This light is activated at the first click of the light switch and stays on for all but high beam operation.
What I want:
No "parking light" - I've already removed the bulbs, they're too yellow.
DDE's to operate in the same fashion (on/off) as the factory "parking light". This means that they can be operated independently from the ignition (i.e. I could leave the DDE's on whilst the car was off).
So, can this be done and if so will all existing fuses and relays work and will I avoid CEL's?
You guys can have a race to see who can answer me first... :rockband:

Yes, it's called snip the wire to the parking light - grey with yellow stripe on passenger, grey with purple on driver. Takes 2 seconds. Then take that wire coming from the terminal block and connect directly to the trigger wire.

that's a city light. parking lights are your turn signals. when we pre-install this, we snip your connections to the city light and use that to power the DDE

no cels, no idiot lights, no relays

You did win and I'm glad because the prize is probably an order when I get my bonus. Offering that prize to anybody else would be unpalatable. Many thanks.
FYI & FWIW... our turn signals are only ever used as turn signals... they never act or operate as "parking lights".
Do you have separate switches to operate your "parking" and "city" lights? Or do your turn signals automatically come on solid when you park? We operate the "city lights" by moving the light switch selector to the first stage when the ignition is off. We do not have a mechanism to turn our indicators (turn signals) on solid.
