well, my buddy tyler has a real nice 2001 A4 1.8t with ECU, intake and borla exhaust...its pretty quick. When i had my 328is, he always take me by about 3/4 of a carlength...well today we did a bunch of runs on highway, from stoplights, through backroads in my M3, and i smoked him EVERYWHERE! Highway was no contest, id walk him easy. He couldnt keep up in the curves. From a stop, we'd be about even till top of 3rd, then id start to walk away from him.

I have both an ///M3 and an A4 sitting in my garage. The A4 a great car, 5 valves per cylinder (perfectly turbo friendly), very peppy and oh so very, VERY clean.



Because I never drive it.



The worst thing about owning an ///M or any BMW is that after driving it, everything else is a piece of crap.



Still, I wonder how much better the S4 would compete with the ///M. Hard to really compare since they exist in seperate classes....

oh you couldnt be more right about that! my S2000 seems so much less fun since i got my ///M. not that the S is a piece of crap or anything



ive yet to come across an S4, but i look forward to it. Id be willing to bet stock for stock, itd be real close with good drivers. 00-01 S4's have 250hp if im not mistaken, but weigh a good bit more...

stock S4 is pretty good race agains stock e36M3, however you put about a grand into an S4 and the M3 will be pissin his pants and crying to mommy.

Actually, the MTM 1.8t is my flatmate's ride. We both have a passion for fine German automobiles... It's a real nice car, I like it... :rockband:
