I have to repaint my whole car......damn m3...help

what would you do if you were me. btw, that front bumper is in the process of being replaced. looks horrible.



right now i am pissed, because i do not feel like doing bodywork on the whole car, but i am probably going to end up doing just that.



so i did the body work on the quarter panel, no biggie, i figure i can rip those ugly mouldings off and just blend it. then i get around to ripping the mouldings off, and there are 2 rivets on each one. it pissed me off, that means body work on the fender, door, and quarter panel on both sides.



in addition to that, my m3 has a 3 series front bumper, because the previous owner had it replaced, cuz the other one was too low. so i have to get an m3 bumper cover. damnit, i didnt think i would have to do this much work to the car.





so, i guess i am going to have to repaint the whole car. i guess im gonna keep it the same color, easier that way. or i can go all out and make it a show car, paint it a different color. doesent matter to me, i plan on keeping this car.



well, i learned the m3 sucks in the snow the hard way.

honestly.. it comes down to how much u love ur car.. i love my car.. i would fix it no matter what.. and what was the previous owner thinking with the front bumper and that extra side ****.. argh.. anyways.. i would do it.. i would repaint it the original color.. get the M3 bumper or another sweet bumper such as the reiger.. i would definitly do it though.. i wouldn't give up such a great car unless u see something else u want..

That is too bad, that previous owner is an idiot. What is with the bumper, that is just stupid and riviting in the extra moulding is also retarded.

i know i have some major paint work to do to my car b/c of crappy repainted areas on my car from past owner bullshit and im still gonna keep it (rear 1/4 panel, pass door and rear bumper need complete repaint on mine)... but...yours is just..wow...thats bad man...... good luck!

thanks jb.....i cant decide whether to paint it the same color, or change it, since it wont really matter. i gotta paint the whole car anyways, so doorjambs, trunk, and under the hood isnt a problem.



damn, i got a lot of work ahead of me.......but hopefully it'll pay off in the end, and ill have a kickass lookin car.



picking a color is the hard part, estoril, avus, technoviolet, all the colors look good. damn, decisions decisions.

You need to take your car to a dealer and confirm it is an M...if the guy sold you a lemon then you can legally get your money back.



There is no way, with the front bumper, the side moldings and the small front rotors that this car is an M. You might have an M engine but who would add those moldings to an M????????????



Post a picture of the rear and the engine for confirmation.

If you are in it for the long term why not paint it a custom color? You don't see many Laguna Seca blue E36's out there.
