Many young girls don't take into account the physics that are involved in driving. They assume they can driving the same no matter what the conditions are like.

There was a girl up here who swerved really really hard when she drifted a little bit onto the shoulder in the rain and spun her car and smashed like backwards into a guardrail.



I just heard the story, but sighed because people panic and do weird things- especially girls.



I don't like seeing panic situations with some girls. My girlfriend is actually pretty good...and I teach her little things.



She also sees me drifting in the snow with RWD and not sweating it, so I think that helps build her confidence too.

We were rolling in our Benz one time (girlfriend driving) and we hit some ice... She panicked and put the tranny in neutral and then we just started doing 360's.. I told her putting it in neutral was bad idea and she started crying.



SO.. Why is it exactly that insurance companies have lower rates for girls? When clearly they are awful drivers

all i do is tell my girlfriend that girls can't drive (accept her and of course angella).. it ticks me off when i get nearly run over by some old mom in an SUV.. i go by blaring the exaust and honking.. grrrr i hate moms in SUV's.. grrrr

See...the thing with a lot of girl drivers is that they may be worse and oblivious, but they don't have this stupid competition thing that guys do. We push the limit too much.



We wreck cars because we try stupid things and girls wreck them because they are just bad drivers, but there are more male wrecks I think.



In the end though, we can learn from our dumb mistakes and become better drivers who can handle bad situations...whereas most girls just buy SUV's and never learn.

DITTO!!!!!!!!!!! I am suprised how few people mentioned SUVs. I can't stand them. Yuppi soccer Moms seem to be the worst in my book! Those stupid things are so huge now days, they should have to get a special license to drive one!

Okay, again, way too much female bashing here guys!!(just kidding because I do agree)



I read an article apx. 1 month ago that said there was a study done and (no big surprize) mid 30's females driving mini vans were the worst drivers.



My problems are with the guys who see a cute girlie driving an M and think they can mess with me....bring it on boys.



IMO: stupid boys driving like they are driving an M(when they are really driving a piece of crap trying to impress) are the worst drivers next to the mini van 30 something soccer moms.
