Richard, what's that expression about getting up with fleas?

I can open your eyes if you've got the sack to call me and discuss that situation like a man. The truth may frighten you, the court records are even more interesting.

I have called -------- last week, and the week before that. Someone told me theywould be ready this week when I called in last time. I guarantee you their is no mistake in the order on my end. Order #113979 and my phone is on the reciept - and wouldn't you call me or at least email if my order was messed up, or would it just not make a difference????

Maybe Rob can offer a nice discount as a gesture of good will for all those that are waiting for orders, or would like to order and deal with the potential wait? http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum//images/smilies/devillook.gif

Maybe a group buy on a popular product like the pulleys?

I already explained about unanticipated delays with our anodizer. There's nothing we can do about that at this point, the black pulley backorders have been shipping (may still take another 1-2 days to get them all out) and blue should be done any day now.

And as I said before, I have no idea sitting here at home about the details on your order, which is why I asked you to call me in the morning. Sound good?

99PurpleM3 has been waiting a very long time for his shift knob and has been very patient. It almost sounds like you have part time contractors. Maybe you can just order 10X the amount of product and keep them in a warehouse and resupply when the product count goes below X amount? It could all be automated through the computer to send off an order to the supplier when the % supply of a certain model drops to a preset limit.

It does sound like UUC has become a victim of it's own success. I am sure you will work things out and all will be well, it will just take some ball busting on your suppliers to make it happen.

At $185 (or $165 without alternator pulley), if we go any cheaper I might as well just send out a free set to everybody in our customer database with a free day pass for DisneyWorld!

My wife would love that, she would get to go to the happiest place on earth, and I could get mods for the car without her bitching about me spending $ on the car. What a deal!

Might as well! Does the pass for DisneyWorld include airfares for those of us out-of-state?

I wasnt bringing up Rogue in relation to your court proceedings. You need to leave that behind. I brought that up in August without the knowledge of the court proceedings and only to say that Ben had left UUC.

Maybe you could open my eyes, or maybe you could twist the story the way you want it to be, regardless i have put it out of mind, and this post relates only to the other posts in this thread relating to backorders and misrepresentation of product availability. I will tell you that I had my name changed on bimmerforums so as to avoid having the letters UUC in my handle.

I Offerred a solution to the problem of your backorder and waiting periods..that solution is Rogue Engineering. Like it or not, Rob, you have competition. I know you probably feel getting defensive about your company and wanting to drag your competition through the mud is proper and mature, but in actuality it makes you look like a poor businessman who cant handle the responsibilities of running a business properly, and moreover immature.

Here, to use your expression, "sack up" and fire your suppliers, and take care of customers and their problems.

-Richard ( I will give some thought to calling tomorrow)

I had called UUC a couple of weeks ago to place an order for their EVO 3 SSK. When I checked the website that evening, I was informed that the part was on backorder. The next morning I called and expressed my displeasure, and the guy that I spoke to (I can't remember his name) found me a couple of different dealers that had the kit in stock. UUC cancelled my order on the spot without hassles and gave me the contact information of people in my area who could get me the kit in a hurry (car was going into shop for service anyway). That's what I call customer service, and though there was some confusion when I initially placed the order, Rob's team went the extra distance to find me the SSK and it's been one of the best purchases I've made for that car.

Rob, thanks for the incredible service and great product.

that sounds like a positive improvement over past customer service. It doesnt excuse the orders which have been on backorder for upwards of 6 months but its a step in the right direction.

However, i think you may have gotten lucky with your sales rep at uuc....let us not forget the rep who promised a part to be in stock when it clearly wasnt.

I am willing to let that slide because they were able to find me someone that had it available and were able to get me the necessary contact information. They could have just as easily thrown a temper tantrum and made things unnecessarily complicated. Thankfully, they didn't do that.

That being said, there are obviously dealers out there that carry UUC products and keep them in stock. Why not try some of those places instead of dealing directly with manufacturer? I'm sure that many of them may be able to do better with shipping costs and maybe even price.

Asking on a forum about your business relations with someone you're supposed to call at their business during business hours is not the brightest idea--what a tongue twister....don't harrass the guy...I do business with a lot of electronics, providing service and products to city concert halls, everyday consumer car audio and electronics repair(even house calls). If I lose a customer due to my fault then I admit, but if they leave from ignorance--their loss.

Usually when something is not going underway and the response is the same the 50th time I call into a business or company for the past half year, I kindly request to cancel--this applies if you are a customer who ordered a product or even a business who orderd stock from a warehouse that creates them. If they tell you the product is ready and in stock but are experiencing shipping problems, they need to notify you ASAP(and that's not as 'possible', that's right that day) and not let their shipping problems and mistakes affect your business and customers...leave a message or an e-mail.

It seems the phone CAN work both ways...if the provider does not or could not call back then the consumer should. Although it may seem as though with some businesses, it only works one way....:???:  ops:

I have experienced this numerous times and noticed this. The consumer has put out interest, time, money, and trust; therefore, done their job as a customer and their job as an employee to work hard in earning that money. The business provider on the other hand should do their job and satisfy their customers, possibly an "informed consent" would be nice, do anything they can to maintain that trust and interest(maybe not by beating around the bush about availability and estimated arrival dates)--keeping their customers up-to-date with their respective orders and not the customers having to "call-in" to check up. As I do business with consumers, satisfaction has always worked and been a positive, gaining result...telling them exactly what and everything that's going on and prevent any inconveniecy to the customer, they should feel very comfortable.

Surely I do not talk, advertise, take orders and answer questions with 40, 100, 5,000,000 or whatever how many people....but I do talk, advertise, take orders, answer questions, provide products, install, and repair products to many people a day; therefore, taking ALL responsibility. If my distributor, warehouse or direct company fails to supply on demand, then I definitely will seek source elsewhere--there are plenty provided. Sometimes items do get really popular and gain much praise and demand is exponentially rocketed. But if that's true then wouldn't other business providers be experiencing the same problem with that same product? Unless you are the only provider....

There are times I do not gain much doing business and even sometimes lose just to get the product out or make it up with product discounts, but losing now to gain trust in the customer will gain in their satisfication with numerous other fellow future customers, and I turn out profit'ing mucho grande. As for me, this customer will go elsewhere, feedback(and it does not take much) is everything and this forum has shown it. But sometimes you have no choice as a business provider but to recieve blame.
