Sorry my post may have made it hard to tell who i was talking about but it wasnt you. I was referring to the 11th post on the first page in which mbanks says esentially he was lied to about the status of a part..clearly a move on the part of UUC to garner more business..or maybe it was a "mistake" as it will be explained by Rob.

Rob - I'm really not the type to try to drag this sort of thing along, but you made a lot of comments in your reply to me that I would like to address.

First off, for all reading this, please note that like most of you, my car is very important to me. Andwhen it comes to adding performance modifcations, I did a lot of research, read everything I could find, talked to lots of folks, and found that UUC was the way to go, and thus I did.

Rob, while I agree that if my exhaust fit was representative of all, it doesn't make sense that I would be the only one to have a fit issue. However, I sent YOU pictures and YOU agreed that it looked incorrect and talked about a tolerancing issues UUC was having.

Regarding the calling back, I called MANY times...but I was always on hold or just couldn't get through. For very long periods of time! At work I stare at a laptop all day and I would just put on my phone headset and wait for UUC to pick up the phone...but I would just wait and wait...

In fact, I finally gave up on calling and just sent e-mails. But I never got any response since the last one I received from you saying you'd get back to me.

Again, I've heard many good things about UUC, and that's why I tried one of their products. However, in reading this thread, its obvious that my situation isn't unique.

I hope UUC will utilize this as constructive feedback and work to improve thier vendor quality, processes and customer service. Just my 2 cents, Battman

PS - I checked my sent messages and found my response from you (Rob) which I pasted below: I also have my original order e-mail to UUC and the "your order has been shipped e-mail", which are dated over 4 months apart.

        Hi Jeff,

That certainly does not look right, we are looking into what manufacturing

tolerance issues may have caused this issue.

If you can bear with me for a little while, I will get to the bottom of this

and we should be able to replace that unit for you. In the meantime, do you

want to leave it on your car or send it back?

Actually, you aren't the only one who had this fitment problem....=)

i too have melted plastic on the exhaust tip. My fitment is just how you described it: close on both sides but in different locations. THis exhaust sounds mean but so do others and others dont harm your car.

About the post two above in which the letters were posted....that was an excellent, articulate and well thought out post. I really dont believe that can be refuted and anyone would be foolish to now stand up and proclaim their allegiance to UUC after those were posted. Thanks for bringing your issues and emails to us all.

Yeah i melted some plastic with mine too, but I managed to get my tips centered enough to live with. I complete understand the reference to wanting you car to be perfect. It is just one of those things that you understand if you are the same way.

i too have melted a bit of the valence.. but the valence can be moved alittle bit..just gotta loosen the screws.. also u may need to cut a bit of the valence towards the rear.. that will help clear out some space..

its not as bad as people make it out to be.. what happens is the steel is getting so hot that it expands to one side alittle more than the other.. u just need to adjust the position alittle.. theres nothing wrong with the exhaust or the construction at all.. but thats what ya get with big tips.. ya just got to stick it in there perfect.. thats all..

I don't get it....then what's with the angle being off and one tip protruding out further than the other...not lining up with the diffuser.....making your own brackets....that's quite a bit of work....possibly more than most exhausts which can resuse the stock brackets. I have seen pics and it is pretty bad alignment of the tips...if I ever do get UUC, maybe i'll get luckiy and only end up with purple's problem with the tips expanding

that may have been the case for you, purple. Mine seriously is poorly made. There is no way for me to adjust it enough to make it even center up and not touch either before the diffuser or on the diffuser. I think it is a poorly made exhaust. I am going to fab up something when i get home to try and remedy the problem..though i shouldnt have to.

ordered tranny mounts that were in stock

took over 1 1/2 months to receive.

They need to learn that poor business practices will simply not cut it. i do not plan on ordering another part from UUC ever again. I believe there are alternatives that appreciate their customers support and do not **** around with them and waste their time. Rob levinson, time is money. You've robbed these people long enough.

I would think those symptoms would present themselves with all (read: most) aftermarket exhausts if this were the case. No?

My Remus centers perfectly and has never moved, nor has it ever needed to be adjusted. :???:

Rob, do you plan to respond to these complaints and accusations of poor customer service, a response would show you care and have the honesty to tell us the truth.

Yet another UUC post talking about shipping/delivery issues. I think there are some general themes to be learned.

                                1. Look for Dealers first if they have it in stock

                                2. If you order it from UUC directly, expect to wait regardless of what UUC may say (they are famous for their "2 weeks".)

                                3. Cancel your order and look for other alternatives

                                4. UUC does a very poor job on judging availability (due to what ever reason - other manuf, machine failures, and demand).

This has been ongoing and have not seen any improvement. If it's due to demand (which is great for business) then necessary steps need to taken in place to meet the demand or simply POST on your website (backordered - delay may extend beyond 2 monhts). I'm sure their demand will then be more controllable. We however, can not confirm their demand numbers or business successes since they are not a public company.

                                5. UUC does post on public forums to comment and help out the general user community, however they tend to be over-sensitive to criticism. Public forums are here to share ideas/opinions, either positive/negative. We understand the risk of incorrect/misleading posts but that is the side effect for public forums.

Information sharing is KEY to making an informed consumer decision. People need to research and get other user feedback without any tainted/biased opinions or "infomercial posts."

Public feedback typically creates awareness that hopefully leads to change (i.e. improving availability by increasing production, man power, new equipment, and mult-source manufacturers).

                                UUC = Ultimately Unavailable Components

Time to step up to the plate..
