That explains why I see so many with contours on them. Were the 10 spokes an option for other years, it seems I do see a few post 95's out there with 10 spokes. Do these guys just put them on as aftermarket themselves?

whats up little bro?? I talked to a guy today that has a 98 4 door he has the same wheels, are there variations of that wheel, because it seems like a lot of M3s have them for only being offered on the 95, unless, like you said, people are adding them later??

          Hey Rod

Ya, I thought the same thing. And as I look for a car I notice alot of 96 and 97's that still have those wheels. I really want them on the car I get but if it comes down to buying them aftermarket I think I would rather put the money into some 18" Hamanns or just leave teh contours on.

there were two variations of 10 spokes.. but only the 95's had the word motorsport on them.. the others are alittle different..

I think the 10 spokes are some of the nicest stock rims to of been put on a car.

Thanks for clarifying purple. So are the non-"motorsport" 10 spokes offered on all years. And is the only difference the fact that they don't say "motorsport". I'm not so concerned about the "motorsport" I just love the looks of that wheel.

pretty much.. th other 10 spokes were offered from 96-99.. in staggered form.. the motorsports were all 7.5"s

I'm not a big fan of them...I think they make the car look older.

And don't worry, because there are people like me out there, you can probably find a car with contours and trade them for some 10 spokes straight up...but they may not be the motorsport ones.

yeah pretty much the only reason i bought these is because i knew i would need some track wheels.. these seemed to be a good buy at 700$ back in the day.. now u can get them much cheaper.. but oh well.. it worked out ok..

No wonder I couldn't find a 97 M3 with those rims! All the 10 spoke rims I saw on 96+ M3s didnt have the Motorsport engraving on them, and I thought they were fake at the time. Stupid me, I love those rims!

Ahhh well, I actually like the 5 spoke motorsport rims like the ones you can see on clifff's bmw m3 on cardomain.
