Why do we stay close to stock sound out put when putting an aftermarket racing exhaust is important? I now work as a Ferrari Mechanic and have been exposed to many of the cars with Tubi Exhaust with gutted cats, sh!t if you can't hear them 2 miles away when they're at 8500rpm, you're deaf. I have been in my friend's 360 with Tubi and test pipes, at idle you can't hear the person sitting next to you, you have to shout to talk and at redline forget about it; at that point you can't even hear yourself think. It sounds great and puts fear in everyone around you. My M3 sounds nothing like stock, it's much more aggressive with my mods (see list) but it's still not as loud as many Ferrari's I have been in.
This is more curiosity than anything.
You're welcome.
